Overview Bernard S. Oldsey (1923-2008) was a professor in the English department of West Chester State College/West Chester University from 1969 to 1985. The collection contains material related to books he edited and a book he wrote, and material related to a lecture series.

Abstract Dr. Thomas E. Berry (1912-1991) was a member of the West Chester University English department from 1947-1978.  This collection encases one of Berry's many publications, Journalism Today, published in 1958.

Elizabeth Tyson (1896-1991) was an assistant English professor at West Chester State Normal School, the West Chester State Teachers College (name changed in 1927), and West Chester State College (name again changed in 1960) from 1922-1962 and developed one of the first speech clinics in the United States. This collection includes materials that relate to Tyson's interest in theatre, including costume and makeup ideas, examples of sets, notes, guidelines, and other miscellaneous items.
